PENGGUNAAN istilah radikalisme pada tulisan ini merujuk pada definisi sebagian masyarakat kita. Mereka yang phobia terhadap Islam kemudian menggeser makna radikalisme dari sebuah sikap politik yang menginginkan perubahan mendasar menjadi sikap keagamaan yang secara konsekuen menerapkan nilai-nilai islam.
Kepada saudara-saudara kita yang tampil dengan simbol Islam kemudian dicap sebagai penganut paham radikal. Padahal sejatinya, mereka hanya mencoba untuk komitmen mengikuti perintah Tuhannya dan sunnah Rasul-Nya.
Bukan hanya label radikal, kepada mereka menggunakan jenggot, memakai celana cingkrang, mengenakan jubah koko juga dikonotasikan sebagai kelompok intoleran yang dapat membahayakan keutuhan NKRI. Propaganda ini terus berkembang, bahkan tidak sedikit pula dari pejabat publik terjebak dalam definisi sempit ini sehingga sering kali kita mendengarkan pernyataan-pernyataan yang mendiskreditkan saudara-saudara kita tersebut.
Namun, sekalipun gelombang propaganda anti radikalisme terus berkembang, disaat yang sama gelombang masyarakat yang hijrah dari cara hidup konvensional ke pola hidup sesuai syariat juga semakin tumbuh. Tekanan yang begitu keras tidak lantas menyurutkan semangat dakwah yang hingga kini merambah ke ruang-ruang yang dulunya sulit dijangkau.
Fenomena dakwah yang terus berkembang kini juga telah menjangkau lingkungan bisnis yang dulunya sangat materialistis. Tulisan ini mencoba untuk mengupas mengapa “radikalisme” begitu pesat tumbuh dan berkembang dalam lingkungan bisnis.
Seorang kawan yang bekerja di sebuah perusahaan pertambangan di pulau Kalimantan mengisahkan kehidupan karyawan di lingkungan kerjanya. Para karyawan difasilitasi mes dan perumahan oleh perusahaan yang berjarak sekitar 10 km dari lokasi kerja. Setiap hari mereka masuk kerja dari jam 8 pagi hingga jam 6 sore. Namun yang menarik bagaimana ia mengisahkan kehidupan mereka di mes yang juga dilengkapi dengan sarana peribadatan masjid bagi yang beragama muslim.
Kehadiran masjid rupanya tidak hanya sebagai sarana melaksanakan shalat wajib semata namun juga menjadi pusat dakwah bagi para karyawan. Ia menceritakan betapa perusahaan memfasilitasi dengan berbagai program dakwah seperti mendatangkan ustaz untuk mengisi taklim bakda shalat Magrib hingga guru mengaji bagi para karyawan seusai shalat subuh.
Alhasil, kehidupan dalam mes yang dulunya begitu kering dan membosankan sebagai tempat peristirahatan karyawan bertransformasi menjadi lingkungan yang religius dan dinamis. Perusahaan tidak pula merasa berbahaya jika para karyawan menggunakan simbol-simbol keagamaan ketika bekerja.
Cerita lain oleh sejawat yang baru saja melaksanakan program pelatihan di Politeknik Caltex Riau (PCR). Di kampus yang dibentuk oleh PT Caltex (kini Chevron Pacific Indonesia) tersebut, ia menyaksikan religiusitas tumbuh pesat dalam keseharian para karyawannya. Tidak sedikit dari karyawan mereka yang ke kantor mengenakan celana cingkrang dipadukan jenggot yang lebat. Padahal PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia adalah anak perusahaan dari PT Chevron, perusahaan asal Amerika Serikat.
Di Makassar, sebuah tower milik salah satu saudagar besar asal Bugis beberapa waktu mengundang seorang ustaz ber-manhaj Salafi untuk mengisi ceramah di musala. Tower tersebut merupakan pusat perkantoran dari jaringan bisnis milik sang saudagar. Musala yang sebenarnya cukup besar tersebut pun rasanya tidak cukup menampung para karyawan yang sangat antusias mendengar ceramah dari ustaz yang seringkali dikaitkan dengan Wahabi.
Dan banyak lagi contoh bagaimana dakwah begitu pesat tumbuh dalam lingkungan bisnis. Lantas pertanyaannya saat ini, mengapa radikalisme begitu pesat tumbuh dalam lingkungan bisnis? Bukankah induk perusahaan asing yang memfasilitasi dakwah tersebut memiliki ideologi yang bukan Islam?
Tidakkah mereka khawatir jika radikalisme ini berkembang, akan terjadi gejolak dalam perusahaan yang akan mengganggu aktivitas bisnis perusahaan? Mengapa pula perusahaan rela mengeluarkan sejumlah biaya untuk memfasilitasi tumbuh kembangnya radikalisme dalam lingkungannya sendiri?
Pergeseran Teori Motivasi Kerja
Selama puluhan tahun, kita dijejali dengan teori motivasi kerja materialistis yang hanya bersandar pada kompensasi finansial sebagai variabel mutlak dalam membentuk produktivitas kerja karyawan. Masalah itu muncul ketika mereka terus dibekali dengan gaji yang besar namun tidak difasilitasi dengan spiritualitas hingga akhirnya melahirkan pola hidup hedonis.
Pola hidup yang hedonis ini rupanya tidak mampu menjadi kanal yang baik atas beban kerja yang tinggi. Justru tidak sedikit yang kemudian bermasalah produktivitas kerjanya seiring dengan tingginya penghasilan mereka. Seperti terjebak minuman keras atau kecanduan narkoba.
Makanya, beberapa tahun belakangan, peneliti manajemen perilaku mulai mengkaji variabel religiusitas dalam mempengaruhi motivasi kerja karyawan. Hipotesis ini didasari pada kerangka pikir bahwa karyawan yang kehidupan spiritualnya baik akan bertanggung jawab dan produktif dengan pemahaman bahwa agama yang mulia ini menyeru umatnya bekerja secara optimal dan tidak bermalas-malasan.
Batasan tegas antara haram dan halal juga efektif dalam mencegah karyawan dari perilaku fraud yang merugikan perusahaan.
Dengan demikian kita menjadi paham kenapa “radikalisme” kini tumbuh subur dalam lingkungan bisnis. Para CEO tidak peduli dengan perbedaan ideologi yang mereka anut. Mereka juga tidak ambil pusing dengan propaganda intoleransi dan anti kebhinekaan yang terus berhembus di luar sana.
Kini para CEO itu mulai menyadari bahwa cara terbaik dalam pengendalian internal dan meningkatkan produktivitas karyawan adalah dengan memfasilitasi karyawan untuk lebih dekat dengan agamanya.
