Jambore Organik Hortikultura 2019 merupakan salah satu ajang sosialisasi dan promosi penerapan budidaya hortikultura organik. Kegiatan ini rencananya akan dilaksanakan di salah satu Desa Pertanian Organik (DPO) bidang hortikultura, di Sumatera Barat, pada Juli 2019 nanti.
Sri Wijayanti Yusuf, Direktur Perlindungan Hortikultura menyatakan bahwa tujuan dari pelaksanaan Jambore Organik Hortikultura adalah untuk mensosialisasikan dan memasyarakatkan penerapan budidaya hortikultura ramah lingkungan.
“Bagaimana memanfaatkan bahan organik seoptimal mungkin yang berada di sekitar kita sehingga menghasilkan produk yang sehat, aman konsumsi dan melestarikan lingkungan. Selain itu dengan penerapan budidaya organik, ongkos produksi juga semakin efisien. Petani lebih sehat dan sejahtera,” ujar direktur yang biasa dipanggil Yanti ini.
Untuk memasyarakatkan budidaya ramah lingkungan ini, lanjut Yanti, pihaknya mengundang berbagai sektor mulai dari Dinas Pertanian, Peternakan, Perkebunan, Perikanan dan Perdagangan, baik yang ada di propinsi maupun kabupaten/kota. Termasuk pihak swasta dan supermarket yang memproduksi sarana produksi ramah lingkungan.
Gagasan dan ide ini disambut sangat baik oleh Chandra, Kepala Dinas Pertanian Tanaman Pangan, Hortikultura dan Perkebunan Provinsi Sumatera Barat beserta jajarannya. Lokasi yang disepakati adalah Kelompok Tani Saiyo Sakato, Jorong Kubang Rasau, Nagari Balai Panjang, Kecamatan Lareh Sago Halaban, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota.
Berbagai persiapan dilakukan mulai koordinasi dengan instansi terkait, pembuatan kompos, penyiapan lahan serta persiapan lainnya seperti perbaikan kolam ikan sekaligus pelepasan bibit ikan. Event ini termasuk bentuk partisipasi Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota.
“Kami akan berupaya penuh mensukseskan Jambore Organik Hortikultura 2019 dan terus berkoordinasi dengan seluruh Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten/Kota. Kegiatan ini sekaligus dikemas sebagai promosi kegiatan pengembangan pertanian beserta produk olahan organik yang tersedia di Sumatera Barat,” imbuh Chandra.
Kepala Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota, Eki Hari Purnama mengatakan, “Kami bersyukur atas terpilihnya Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota sebagai tempat penyelenggaraan. Kami beserta seluruh staf akan mengawal demplot organik yang telah dipersiapkan sekaligus pendampingan teknis budidayanya.”
Persiapan lainnya juga dilakukan KT Saiyo Sakato di lokasi pertanaman dengan bimbingan teknis dari Koordinator POPT Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota, Syaiful Wathan.
“Seluruh anggota KT Saiyo Sakato sangat antusias dan bangga untuk penyelenggaraan Jambore Organik Hortikultura 2019, Juli mendatang. Dukungan lainnya juga diberikan Babinsa Koramil 04/Luak Balai Panjang yang secara rutin memberikan pendampingan kepada petani dan berkoordinasi dengan wali nagari,” ucap Syaiful.
