Kementan Pacu Pengembangan Sentra Sayuran Organik di Karanganyar

Karanganyar, Jateng – Kementerian Pertanian (Kementan) terus memacu peningkatakan produksi komoditas pertanian bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Salah satunya tanaman sayuran yang memiliki potensi pasar supermarket bahkan bisa ekspor.

Direktur Jenderal Hortikultura Suwandi membeberkan Indonesia sangat kaya akan komoditas tanaman sayuran. Buktinya, berbagai jenis tanaman sayuran yang tersebar di berbagai daerah, salah satunya yang tengah dikembangkan di Desa Nglebak, Kecamatan Tawangmangu, Kabupaten Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah

“Daerah ini menjadi sentra tanaman sayuran organik dengan berbagai jenis tanaman pakcoy, seledri, kacang capri, cabai, wortel, bawang daun dan lainnya,, disamping sayuran biasa,” kata Suwandi saat meninjau tanaman sayuran di Desa Nglebak, Jumat (19/4) bersama Kepala Dinas Pertanian dan Pangan Kabupaten Karanganyar Supramnaryo dan para petani sayur.

Suwandi menyebutkan Kementan hingga saat ini terus mendorong sentra-sentra tanaman sayuran sejenis di daerah lain agar produksi dan volume ekspor semakin meningkat. Tanaman sayuran tumbuh subur di dataran tinggi, seperi di Brastagi, Solok, Kerinci, Puncak, Lembang, Pangalengan, Ciwidey, Magelang, Sleman, Wonosobo, Tawangmangu, Batu malang, Enrekang, Modoinding dan lainnya.

“Kita targetkan dan dorong sayuran berkualitas, sayuran organik, ramah lingkungan dan menyehatkan, hingga masuk supermarket dan bahkan ekspor agar pendapatan petani dan negara meningkat,” ujarnya.

Ini pasti bisa karena tanaman baby buncis, capri, edamame, kubis dan 30-an jenis sayuran lainnya memiliki daya saing yang tinggi dan sudah diekspor. Data ekspor sayuran 2018 menunjukkan naik lebih tinggi dibandingkan 2017.

“Tanaman sayuran identik dengan sehat dan segar, di Tawangmangu ini daerah dataran tinggi, udara sejuk, tumbuh berbagai jenis sayuran, bahkan banyak juga tanaman obat dan hias. Di sini letak strategis dan juga menjadi tujuan wisata,” tambah Suwandi.

Hartono, petani sayuran organik Desa Nglebak, Kecamatan Tawangmangu, Kabupaten Karanganyar mengatakan kami menanam organik sayuran pakcoy, seledri, kacang capri, cabai merah dan lainnya.

“Ditanam tumpangsari antar sayuran, lahan sayur disini masih tersebar kecil kecil (spot spot) dan sudah diatur pola tanam sehingga pasokan bisa kontinue,” ujarnya.

Hartono menyatakan untuk organik harga lebih mahal, misal seledri dalam ikat seberat 2 ons, harga 5 ikat setara Rp27.500 perkg, hal sama untuk pakcoy harga Rp15.000 perkg dan kacang capri Rp50.000 per kg. Sementara biaya produksi organik lebih efisien karena tidak dipupuk dan pestisida kimiawi, misal pakcoy organik biaya total Rp5.000 perkg.

Sayur organik ini sudah sarana pasca panen dan packing-nya, rutin masuk swalayan atau supermarket, sedangkan sayuran non organik masuk pasar biasa tradisional.

Di tempat yang sama, Kepala Dinas Pertanian dan Pangan Kabupaten Karanganyar, Supramnaryo menuturkan kawasan pertanian di Tawangmangu ini tidak hanya menjadi sentra budidaya sayur-sayuran. Seperti sayuran organik pockcay capri, seledri dan berbagai jenis sayuran lainnya, tetapi juga sentra tanaman hias seperti krisan, anggrek, antorium, bonsai dan 130 jenis tanaman hias lainnya yang melibatkan 850 pedagang memasok ke seluruh Indonesia.

“Desa Nglebak sentra sayuran organik sedangkan Desa Nglurah dinobatkan sebagai desa wisata tanaman hias di Tawangmangu”, pungkasnya.
