Tahun Politik: Bagaimana Menentukan Pilihan?

BULAN Juni tahun 2018 sebanyak 171 daerah baik di tingkat Provinsi maupun Kabupaten/Kota akan menggelar Pilkada serentak. Dalam Pilkada ini masyakarat menumpukan harapan mereka, supaya kehidupan kedepan lebih baik lagi. Satu hal yang pasti dihadapi masyakarat pemilih adalah siapa yang akan mereka pilih?.

Terkadang cukup membingungkan akibat banyaknya partai di Indonesia. Namun dalam pemilihan kepala daerah ini partai-partai berkoalisi, sebab kursi legislatif masing-masing partai tidak cukup untuk mengusung pasangan calon sendiri. Perihal koalisi, partai yang bergabung tidak mesti sama dengan koalisi di tingkat pusat, jika berkaca pada Pilpres 2014.

Pada poin ini jelas, bahwa pemilih partai A belum tentu puas dengan pasangan calon yang diajukan oleh partai itu dalam koalisinya dengan partai lain. Alasan masyarakat memilih pada akhirnya akan fokus pada sosok yang diajukan. Baik berdasarkan kegagahan ataupun berkaitan dengan program para figur politik itu.

Dalam skala yang lebih luas, Pilkada yang akan berlangsung merupakan persiapan agenda Pemilu tahun 2019. Pada gilirannya, momen politik daerah menentukan perjalanan politik skala nasional. Partai, terutama pimpinan koalisi, akan berkaca pada hasil Pilkada. Sejauh mana pasangan calon mereka mendapatkan tempat di hati rakyat berbanding lurus dengan sebanyak apa usaha yang mereka butuhkan untuk memenangkan Pemilu 2019.  Dan lebih khusus pada momen Pilpres nantinya.

Sekedar berpikir retrospektif, penting juga untuk mengingat kembali perubahan kondisi politik yang dialami bangsa Indonesia. Pasca kemerdekaan diskursus politik nasional diwarnai oleh kompetisi antar ideologi yang diusung masing-masing partai. Misalnya saja Masyumi dengan Islam, PKI dengan Komunisme dan PNI dengan Marhaenisme-nya.

Pokok-pokok ideologi partai dengan mudah dapat ditemukan dalam tulisan  para pemimpinnya. Misalnya Natsir sebagai pimpinan Masyumi dengan Capita Selecta-nya. Begitu juga Aidit dengan karyanya Tentang Marxisme. Atau Dibawah Bendera Revolusi buah pikir Soekarno.

Atas dasar uraian masing-masing ideologi, orang sudah bisa memperkirakan bahwa ketika suatu partai  menjadi penguasa maka Indonesia akan mengalami perubahan kearah tertentu. Karena orang bisa menelusuri pikiran masing-masing pemimpin partai dalam tulisan mereka.

Masalahnya sekarang, langka politisi yang menulis khususnya terkait soal-soal kebangsaan. Bahan yang berkenaan dengan program partai juga tidak sampai ketangan pemilih secara maksimal. Sebagai hasilnya, butuh kejelian tersendiri untuk menentukan pilihan politik. Harus sabar dalam memeriksa setiap pasangan calon berikut dengan partai pendukungnya.

Banyaknya media kampanye, mulai dari media sosial hingga baliho pinggir jalan, secara praktis akan membingungkan para pemilih. Terlebih lagi, penggunaan media kampanye sangat bergantung pada kondisi dana yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing kandidat dan partainya. Dititik ini harus jelas, bahwa banyaknya foto atau materi kampanye yang bersileweran terkait satu kandidat dan partainya, tidak mesti mencerminkan kualitas program yang dibawa oleh yang bersangkutan.

Para pemilih sebagai warga negara yang menggantungkan harapan pada politisi, karena itu, tidak semestinya menunggu. Pemilih harus menjemput bola dalam makna berusaha mendapatkan materi program yang diajukan oleh pihak-pihak yang berkompetisi.

Program yang ditawarkan oleh para kandidat kemudian disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masing-masing pemilih. Sebab setiap individu tentu kebutuhannya berbeda, dan pemahamannya mengenai apa yang dibutuhkan masyarakat bisa jadi juga berbeda dengan orang lain.

Menurut hemat saya, ada tiga hal urgen dalam menentukan pilihan politik, yakni faktor penerimaan terhadap perbedaan dan keberpihakannya terhadap pembangunan manusia dan ekonomi Indonesia. Terkait poin pertama, sangat penting melihat kemajemukan yang ada di Indonesia. Baik dari suku, preferensi politik maupun agama berikut dengan denominasinya.

Misalnya saja pergolakan politik dari Pilpres 2014. Semenjak itu hingga Pilkada DKI tahun lalu sampai hari ini, bangsa Indonesia seolah-olah terbagi kedalam dua kubu saja. Semua orang seakan-akan diidentifikasi dengan pilihan politiknya. Apalagi dengan munculnya berbagai hujatan baik dalam tulisan maupun dalam bentuk meme yang berpotensi untuk memicu konflik.

Politisi dan partai yang bisa memayungi dan mengakomodir perbedaan dalam masyarakat akan membuat hidup lebih nyaman. Alasannya, kesejahteraan psikologis suatu masyarakat tidak akan tercapai kalau yang disaksikan setiap hari adalah ujaran yang negatif terhadap sesama anak bangsa.

Berikutnya pembangunan manusia, sesuatu yang tidak dapat ditinggalkan. Pertama dalam aspek moralitas dan karakter bangsa dan kemudian kemampuannya untuk bertahan hidup serta meningkatkannya. Meminjam istilah Syed Naquib Al Attas, good man harus tercipta dalam suatu bangsa. Karena setiap good man mestinya good citizen, namun belum tentu sebaliknya.

Politisi dan partai pilihan haruslah yang  mempunyai program yang konkret terkait pembangunan manusia. Hal ini fundamental dalam menyelesaikan aspek demoralisasi yang berkembang. Termasuk kebutuhan bangsa untuk bersaing di ranah internasional.

Terakhir, mengenai pembangunan ekonomi. Bagaimanapun juga, suka atau tidak, Indonesia dibanjiri investasi asing. Sebab modal dalam negeri belum cukup untuk meningkatkan kegiatan ekonomi domestik. Sehingga investasi dianggap jalan sementara untuk mengatasi hal ini. Hal ini belum lagi termasuk memotong jurang yang menganga antara si kaya dengan si miskin.

Bagaimanapun juga, banyaknya investasi akan berbahaya dalam jangka panjang. Bangsa akan mengalami ketergantungan dan beresiko tidak independen dalam menentukan sikap sendiri. Disinilah urgensi pilihan politik, bahwa orang dan partai yang dipilih haruslah yang mempunyai program konkret serta mempunyai keberpihakan dalam meningkatkan ekonomi dalam negeri. Baik berskala lokal, maupun nasional.

Pilihan politik harus disadari sebagai bagian penting dalam menentukan kemajuan bangsa. Diluar nilai yang dianut secara individu, poin yang disampaikan diatas bisa dijadikan kriteria untuk menentukan pilihan. Harapannya, kehidupan semakin terasa damai, anak bangsa semakin cerdas dan ekonomi meningkat.
